Maids of England at Go Japan! | Japanese Maid Café Experience

Discover a different side of Japanese culture with Maids of England at Go Japan! From live performances and interactive activities to colourful costumes and photo opportunities, there is plenty to enjoy.
Whether you are familiar with Japanese maid cafés or have never heard of them, Maids of England offers a friendly introduction to this popular part of Japanese entertainment culture.
Visit them in our Little Japan cultural area during Go Japan! at Brands Hatch.
What is a Japanese maid café?
Maid cafés first became popular in Akihabara, Tokyo, an area famous for anime, manga, gaming and Japanese pop culture.
These themed cafés offer a different experience from a traditional restaurant or coffee shop. Staff dress as maids and butlers, welcome guests into a playful setting and create an entertaining atmosphere through conversation, games and performances.
The experience is designed to be light-hearted, welcoming and fun. You do not need to know anything about anime or Japanese culture to take part.
Who are Maids of England?
Established in 2011, Maids of England (MOE) is a UK-based pop-up maid and butler café group inspired by Japanese maid café culture.
Their team brings together colourful costumes, music, dance, crafts and audience interaction.
At Go Japan!, they bring elements of their traditional café experience to our Little Japan area. Although they do not operate their full café service at the event, there are still plenty of opportunities to meet the team and enjoy their activities.
