Born in Mie Prefecture, Japan, and raised in a family of musicians, she began performing at age 14 and quickly made a name for herself after winning top honours in the YAMAHA Music Revolution Japan contest. Since her professional debut at just 16, MION has released over a dozen singles—including the Oricon-charting Summer Magic, Alive, and Want You Back—earning widespread acclaim across Japan.
Her music blends J‑Pop, J‑Rock, and heartfelt ballads with lyrics that inspire, comfort, and energize. She’s a multi-instrumentalist (drums, piano, guitar) and a natural performer, known for drawing in crowds with charisma and sincerity.

Now based in the UK on a Global Talent Visa endorsed by Arts Council England, MION is on a mission to bridge cultures through music.
